Local Expertise Centre - Kenya (LEC-K) is a network secretariat for Edukans Foundation partner organizations in Kenya, which is predominantly funded by Edukans Foundation, the Netherlands.  LEC Kenya is an established local expertise centre aimed at creating and enhancing possibilities for a more frequent dialogue among EF partners to improve quality of basic education programs (both formal and non-formal), as well as for developing policy that addresses the local context as effectively as possible in the country.

Edukans Foundation (EF) initiated and supported the establishment of LEC Kenya to closely work and cooperate with its partners, to mobilize intellectual support and technical backstopping, and to establish linkages and networks with appropriate partners.

Mission and Vision

The establishment of LEC in Kenya is meant to smoothen the partnership of EF in different interventions.

• Since 2006 EF has been supporting a number of capacity building initiatives for implementing partners. EF believes that establishment of LEC Kenya stimulates more transfer of skills and knowledge for continuity of supporting grassroots initiatives.
